{"id":733,"date":"2024-05-14T15:55:06","date_gmt":"2024-05-14T15:55:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yti.com\/?page_id=733"},"modified":"2025-09-29T16:23:49","modified_gmt":"2025-09-29T23:23:49","slug":"demurrage-dispute-process","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/yti.com\/cargo-container-management\/demurrage-dispute-process\/","title":{"rendered":"Demurrage Dispute Process"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"> If you have questions or concerns related to a demurrage invoice, charges, fee mitigation or refund requests in relation to cargo transported by CMA-CGM, Evergreen or Wan Hai Line LTD, please refer to the following procedures:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<section class=\"wp-block-group p-2 has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f2f2\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requests to Yusen Terminals<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>If you are requesting a demurrage waiver for import containers that remain on the terminal and have not been delivered<\/strong>, please submit a ticket through YTI Assist at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/ytiassistcustomer.yti.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ytiassistcustomer.yti.com<\/a>.&nbsp; The request must include:&nbsp;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Container Number(s),&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vessel\/Voyage,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specific dates for which you are seeking a demurrage waiver,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reason for the waiver request, and,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any supporting documentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>If you are requesting information about fees and\/or demurrage charges showing on Pay Cargo\u2019s website prior to making a payment<\/strong>, please utilize <strong>YTI Assist<\/strong> to contact our <a href=\"https:\/\/yti.com\/customer-service\/\">Customer Service Team<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>All requests for mitigation, refund, or waiver submitted to Yusen Terminals must be submitted within thirty (30) calendar days from the invoice issuance date.&nbsp; Yusen Terminals will attempt to respond to any such request within thirty (30) calendar days of receiving such a request, or such later date as may be agreed by the parties.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#ffffff\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>For all other Demurrage disputes, fee mitigation, and refund requests after a payment has been made and cargo has been delivered, please refer to the following for guidance to submit such requests directly to the respective shipping line.<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CMA-CGM&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cma-cgm.com\/local\/united-states\/detention-and-demurrage\">https:\/\/www.cma-cgm.com\/local\/united-states\/detention-and-demurrage<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"mailto:usa.demrequests@usa.cma-cgm.com\"><strong>usa.demrequests@usa.cma-cgm.com<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Evergreen Shipping Agency&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Customer shall respond in writing to Evergreen&#8217;s invoices within\u00a030\u00a0days of the invoice date, documenting with appropriate evidence, including but not limited to (1) a written explanation of the circumstances that prevented the pick up, and (2) documents proving the explanation, its disagreement with any charges it believes to be incorrect.
